After years in development, Gefen has finally released their wireless HDMI solution and it's not cheap at $999. The range is 30 feet, effectively doubling the maximum distance you can run an HDMI cable without a booster. The cost doesn't seem to be a problem, since the product is already backordered.

I'm not certain I understand the observation regarding maximum distances without a booster (unless you're talking about only wireless HDMI). I have a 30 foot run in my HT and I have no issues whatsoever.

I have a 50 foot HDMI cable running from my equipment closet to my TV through the walls and attic. It is performing just fine. And it cost me $45. There may be a reason for wireless HDMI but not at that price point and not because of a 30+ foot cable run.

I agree. My HDMI cable run is 35 ft to a modified 9" crt projector. It works fine.

Richard, I want to hear more about the frankenjector you've got hanging on the ceiling there! I too run 35' of Monster's finest through my walls without sparklees . . .
