Conclusions
None of these HDTVs is perfect. If, for example, you want the blacks you’ll find in a Pioneer KURO plasma or a Samsung 81-Series LCD with its local dimming, you’re going to have to spend a lot more to get them.

But I was still amazed by the high-def party you can throw these days for around a thousand bucks. I could easily live with any of these models, particularly as a second set for the bedroom or den, and never look back. Full high definition for a song? Believe it.
