Vantage Point "SoundStage" Speaker Stands
Vantage Point Products Corporation has a new line that recognizes the importance of the look of your stands, takes a lot of the guesswork out of selecting them, and adds the fun of do-it-yourself design and assembly. The Santa Fe Springs, CA-based company has introduce what it calls "the first furniture quality sound support system available," the SoundStage speaker stands.
SoundStage stands can be customized to blend with any décor, thanks to a combination of mix-and-match wood tone bases and metal risers that let you tailor the stands to each room. There are 24 different possible combinations to create exactly the look and height that you want. The bases are available in black, silver, dark cherry and light oak wood tones and can be paired with 12”, 24” or 34” black or silver heavy gauge aluminum risers. The matching feet are sold with the risers and have rubber tips for hard floors and optional isolation spikes for carpeted floors.
SoundStage speaker stands can be assembled in less than 15 minutes with only a screwdriver. Speaker wires can be routed through the risers so they are hidden from view. For purists, the risers can be filled with pellets or sand for added mass, lowered resonance, and increased performance.
Modular construction means modular pricing, too. The SoundStage base is priced at a suggested $40.00; 12” risers are $69.99; the 24” and 34” risers are $89.99. Vantage Point distributes a wide range of high-quality audio/video furniture Solus, Contours, and Fusion, including equipment racks, stands, and tables designed for large-screen television sets. Vantage Point also manufactures PrimeTime premium wall and ceiling television mounts, SoundGear speaker mounts and Altus audio/video stands.
