Although I didn't have the projector mounted yet, I was impatient and sat the projector on an old wine rack so I could check the picture.
Considering the amount of light pouring in from behind me and off to the right (still waiting for curtains), the picture actually was visible and sharp.
I will post final pictures once the curtains go up and I can get shots of everything. Right now the room still looks like a work in progress, but I've been enjoying pre-season football and the olympics on it.
My only regret is not getting a tensioned retractable screen. This Da-Lite works and certainly don't have a major beef with it, but it has barely noticeable waves along the top. This screen cost around $600, which at the time seemed expensive to me, but after doing more research I found that $3000 is considered "inexpensive" when it comes to screens when you compare to companies like Firehawk.
Whatever... it works and not a minute too late.
