The Denon has one of the lowest noise floors I have ever heard in a modern AV receiver and that is important to me. The Klipsch speakers are very sensitive\efficient so that any noise at idle will be amplified due to the design of the Klipsch speakers. The neutral sound is also important and its EQ capabilities give the user the ability to correct for room modes that can amplify certain frequency ranges. It is a very versatile receiver and has plenty of power to drive the Klipsch reference series to reference sound levels (117dB) without even straining!!!! And that is with a lot of cubic feet to fill since my space is open to almost the entire rest of the home. I was going to go with a separate amp but the light control killed my budget short term. I may still add an Emotiva SMP-1 but have been very happy with the performace of the 3805.

Your set-up looks really nice. I was wondering though, how do you like the sound of the Klipsch reference with the Denon amp, as I have went with the same musical setup
