Why should they give up? Plasma (to me) still offers the most accurate image for the money. Deeper blacks, better black level detail, smoother motion, and more accurate colors are what drove me to them over competing LCDs. I encourage more to seek them out and stop buying LCDs only because their family and friends are doing it!
