I couldn't afford the electricity to power this beast! I doubt this would be Green Star certified.
Panasonic TH-P103MT2 3D Plasma TV
Panasonic's 103-inch plasma is nothing newwe first saw it at the 2006 CESand it's not even the largest plasma in production, an honor that goes to Panasonic's 152-inch behemoth. But last week, the company announced that it is taking pre-orders in Japan for an updated version of the 103-incher that now offers 3D capabilities.
The TH-P103MT2 provides 1080p resolution and claims a contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1. It tips the scales at over 700 pounds with its stand or 440 pounds withoutso the wall you intend to hang it on better have some serious reinforcement!
Of course, if you have to ask how much, you can't afford it, but I'll tell you anyway8.5 million yen (almost $102,000 as of this writing), not including shipping and installation. You'd think that a bunch of active-shutter glasses would come with it for that kind of money, but noit ships with only one pair. That seems totally bogus, but I guess if you can afford $100k for the TV, you can afford a few hundred more for enough glasses for the whole family or even the whole neighborhood. In any event, this plasma is sure to deliver a totally immersive 3D experience unmatched by any smaller screen.
