We obviously haven't seen it yet, but Panasonic's first entry in the Blu-ray arena is somewhat remarkable in at least one respect- unlike the Pioneer and Sony players it will playback CDs! In addition to playing back HD from Blu-ray Disc, the Panasonic marketing lit is also claiming a number of performance-related features intended to make standard def DVD look as good as it can. Available in September.
