Hi Darryl,
Firstly, thank you for the well-written and detailed review.
I am in the market for a new 5.0 speaker system (happy with my sub for now) for a small room (15 x 18) to match with my Yamaha RX-V2700 Receiver, SVS PB10 Subwoofer and Oppo BDP-103 Blu-Ray Player.
I have a few options available to me: GoldenEar SuperCinema 3D Soundbar + SuperSat 3s, GoldenEar SupeCinema 3 System, KEF T305 System and the Paradigm MilleniaOne and possibly the Jamo D500 LCR/SUR speakers and Monitor Audio Silver RX1 AV System - I would assume all would be a massive upgrade from my aging Wharfedale Diamond 8.3/8C/8.1 system.
Considering sound quality only (throw cost aside) how would these systems compare in my room for music/movies? Any pitfalls with high volumes and distortion, either option provide more impact/ambiance etc?
I do not have the chance to audition as buying direct so any positive / negative feedback from yourself or any other readers to help narrow down my shortlist?
Thanks in advance.
