This graph shows the quasi-anechoic (employing close-miking of all woofers) frequency response of the Evo Mighty LCR (purple trace) and Evo-1 Surround (red trace). All passive loudspeakers were measured with grilles at a distance of 1 meter with a 2.83-volt input and scaled for display purposes.

The Evo Mighty LCR's listening-window response (a five-point average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal and vertical responses) measures +1.81/–6.84 decibels from 200 hertz to 10 kilohertz. An average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal responses measures +1.88/–6.38 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3d-B point is at 92 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 80 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 5.99 ohms at 190 Hz and a phase angle of –29.64 degrees at 1.8 kHz.

The Evo-1 Surround's three-face averaged response measures +1.61/–3.11 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3-dB point is at 98 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 75 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 3.49 ohms at 9.3 kHz and a phase angle of –29.23 degrees at 4.5 kHz.—MJP
