B&W Loudspeakers DM303, LCR3, ASW500 HT Labs Measures
This graph shows the quasi-anechoic (employing close-miking of all woofers) frequency response of the DM303 satellite (purple trace), ASW500 subwoofer (blue trace), and LCR3 center channel (red trace). All passive loudspeakers were measured at a distance of 1 meter with a 2.83-volt input and scaled for display purposes.
On-axis response of the DM303 measures +1.24/-2.88 decibels from 200 hertz to 10 kilohertz. The -3dB point is at 81 Hz, and the -6dB point is at 58 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 3.65 ohms at 15.2 kHz and a phase angle of -51.68 degrees at 110 Hz. Sensitivity averages 88 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz.
On-axis response of the LCR3 measures +2.52/-1.23 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. An average of axial and (+/-15 degree) horizontal responses measures +1.48/-3.50 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The -3dB point is at 87 Hz, and the -6dB point is at 71 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 3.49 ohms at 241 Hz and a phase angle of -37.15 degrees at 124 Hz. Sensitivity averages 88 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz.
Close-miked response of the ASW500, normalized to the average level from 40 to 80 Hz, indicates that the lower -3dB point is at 41 Hz and the -6dB point is at 33 Hz. The upper -3dB point is at 86 Hz.—AJ
